Simons Halal Food supplies high-quality halal meat products from our state-of-the-art production facility in Roermond. We supply our meat products to importers, distributors and wholesalers throughout Europe, the Middle East, North Africa and Asia.
As breakdown technician you will work closely with other colleagues in the technical department of Simons Halal Food. You are responsible for reporting and resolving all common malfunctions in the technical installations, as these are indispensable for our work. Therefore, we are looking for someone with an MBO working and thinking level who feels (partly) responsible for the proper functioning of the technical department. So, do you have knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems and mechanics and are you looking for a new challenge? Provided there are no acute malfunctions requiring your immediate attention, the workday begins with a nice cup of coffee. Then you start your inspection tour to find out if any failures are active. You analyze the malfunctions that you encounter, so you can determine the cause. Then you make sure that the malfunction is fixed and you report the work you have done. You also find out which malfunctions and device-driven maintenance you can perform preventively based on the maintenance intervals. In between, you will take a break with your colleagues in the common canteen, where you will chat about the weekend. Then you focus on the work that needs to be done related to building management. As the workday comes to an end, you'll dive into the warehouse where you maintain and clean up tools and other work equipment. Before you go home, you catch up with the technical manager.
Together with your colleagues in the technical department, you ensure that our devices are and remain fault-free. In doing so, it is important that you know when to call in an external expert if the fault cannot be solved within a foreseeable time;
You need problem-solving skills and we consider it essential that you are stress-resistant and decisive;
You communicate well with the other employees of the technical department, but can also work well independently;
Besides knowledge and experience in the field of technology and installations, your language skills are also important: you see a lot of German and English terminology related to the technical installations on the floor. A B2 level in these languages is therefore a plus or you must be willing to attain this level;
For this position, we ask for an availability of 40 hours.
When you join us, you get 25 vacation days and 15 atv-days for a 40 hour work week. We also offer you a year-end bonus of 3.25% and pay our travel expenses from 10 km (single journey).
